Yo-kai Watch Episode 7 is an episode of Yo-kai Watch Anime. It consists of Manjimutt: Part 6, Here’s Komasan!, and Yo-kai Nosirs stories.

Manjimutt: Part 6

Manjimutt is back in jail, but fortunately it looks like he’s being let out again. He takes his glasses and sets back out into the world again, and this time it looks like he’s got his eyes set on the world of art. He finds himself a pottery studio, but unfortunately it seems his artistic skills just aren’t up to the task. After quite a few tries, he creates a pot he is enamored with… a pot with a suspiciously feminine shape to it. Just as he’s admiring his handiwork, the police bust him again and take him back to jail. His crime? The pottery studio wasn’t his to begin with…

Here’s Komasan!

Nate is getting some ice cream down at the burger joint, but he notices something is amiss. His ice cream only has 3 swirls, instead of the advertised 4 swirls! As usual, Whisper tries to explain it away as the fault of a human instead of a Yo-kai. However, when Nate uses the Yo-kai Watch to investigate, he discovers Komasan, who is slurping away at the customers’ ice cream!

Fortunately it doesn’t seem like Komasan is doing this out of ill will, he just loves the taste of ice cream. A little bit too much perhaps, as when he mistakes Whisper’s head for an ice cream swirl, he tries to eat that too. Komasan explains that he used to live out in the country, waiting for his brother to come back one day. His brother never came back, but one day a festival happened and Komasan fell in love with swirly vanilla soft-serve ice cream. Since that day Komasan just couldn’t resist the swirly vanilla goodness of ice cream, and came here to the city to find more of it.

Nate realizes it’s going to be a problem if Komasan sticks around here stealing ice cream all the time, so he decides to show Komasan around town so he might find somewhere else he likes. Things don’t go so well though, as Komasan has a hard time adjusting to city life. He has trouble with escalators, revolving doors, crowds of people, and even public restrooms!

Later on, Komasan gets cornered in an alleyway by Roughraff. Roughraff tries to shake Komasan down for his money, but fortunately Nate and Whisper come to the rescue. It’s too late for Komasan however, as he decides the city just isn’t for him and it’s time for him to return to the country. He bids Nate and Whisper farewell and hops on a train heading back to the countryside.

Komasan doesn’t stay away too long though, as when Nate realizes that Komasan left his luggage behind, he pops the Yo-kai Medal in and summons Komasan back. How will the flustered country bumpkin’s adventures in the city continue?

Yo-kai Nosirs

Nate’s in the middle of taking a test, when suddenly he starts hearing weird voices that cause him to doubt his actions. He hasn’t gone crazy, it’s the work of a Yo-kai! Three of them in fact, a trio of large-nosed Yo-kai called the Nosirs. The Nosirs are making running amok everyone doubt their decisions on the test, even the teacher!

After the test, Nate is finally free to chase down the Nosirs, cornering them on the rooftop. Much to Nate’s irritation, the Nosirs are a very ostentatious group who evade all of his questions until Whisper finally provides some information about them. After Nate and Whisper spend a while parodying the Nosirs’ behavior, Nate attempts to summon Jibanyan to take care of the situation… but he puts the Yo-kai Medal in backwards and nothing happens!

The Nosirs are quick to comment on Nate’s incorrect handling of the Yo-kai Medal, and Nate actually thanks them for pointing out his mistake. Surprised by Nate’s gratitude, the Nosirs decide to stop their shenanigans. As the episode draws to a close, one of the Nosirs holds out his hand, which Nate accepts. The single Nosir disappears into the Yo-Kai Watch, providing it with a new feature: when Nate puts a medal in the wrong way now, it says “ah-ah-ah” to let him know the medal was inserted incorrectly.

In the end, Nate resolves the problem without conflict, and gets an upgrade to his Yo-kai Watch that will no doubt come in handy in the future!
