Yo-kai Watch Episode 35 is an episode of Yo-kai Watch Anime. It consists of "Part 1: Springdale Five-Yo: Episode 6 - Prime Suspect", "Part 2: Titanics of the Caribbean" and "Part 3: Yo-kai Cricky" stories.

Part 1: Springdale Five-Yo: Episode 6 - Prime Suspect

Whisper and Komasan are looking over a chart showing how many successful arrests they’ve made—and Komasan is beating Whisper by a mile. Komasan is on-track to becoming an ace detective, although Whisper insists that he’s still the superior detective. Either way, Komasan and Whisper are being handed a very high priority job—they’re guarding the President! Whisper sees this as his big chance to get some recognition, since Komasan has been stealing all the glory.

Whisper and Komasan find out that an infamous bomber has threatened to kill the president in a bombing. After being briefed on the details, they get to work on trying to find any potential bombs, but they have no luck locating any. Komasan continues to bumble his way through being a security guard, though everyone seems to think he’s doing a great job, much to Whisper’s dismay.

Eventually we see the bomber in disguise, and he’s got a bomb in an ice cream cone that he’s going to throw at the President! Komasan actually notices him because of his ice cream cone and the bomber thinks he’s been found out, but Whisper drags Komasan back away from the bomber. Suddenly the bomber springs into action and tosses the bomb-laden ice cream cone at the president—but Komasan catches it in midair!

Of course, Komasan only caught the ice cream because he loves vanilla soft serve, which he promptly eats. Whisper wants some too, but only the cone is left over—no problem, the cone is delicious too. However, Whisper notices an odd metallic noise when he eats the cone and moments later he blows up like a balloon, his body containing the explosion. Fortunately this leads to the bomber’s arrest… but the episode ends on a cliffhanger, as the bomber reveals there’s another bomb in a different location!

Part 2: Titanics of the Caribbean

Nate wakes up, but instead of being in his room he’s aboard a cruise ship, and he’s dressed in early 1900s clothing. He quickly realizes he’s on the set of another one of Directator’s crazy movies, and he’s already being yelled at by the director and his staff. This time, Directator’s decided to do a movie that’s basically a complete ripoff of Titanic, as Nate points out.

Directator informs Nate that he’s been cast as the main male character, and of course the story of Titanic needs a female character for the romance subplot. Nate thinks Katie has been chosen as the female lead… but it’s just Jibanyan in a dress. Whisper’s there too, and he’s the ship’s captain this time. Just like last time, they can’t go home until they finish filming the movie for Directator.

The first scene is the famous scene with Nate and Jibanyan standing on the front tip of the boat—but it’s a little different, because the boat is going very fast and the two of them are terrified. Directator feels the scene is lacking impact, so he tells them to just jump straight off the boat. Nate is completely opposed to this and insists the original movie was nothing like this—but of course Directator has the old man who is an “authority” on the source material give his approval on the scene.

With no other choice, Nate and Jibanyan take part in the crazy bungee jumping scene, but Directator isn’t satisfied—he wants Whisper to join in too. After quite a few takes Directator is satisfied, but Whisper is furious, demanding they get rid of the weird old man. Either way, they move to the climax of the movie when the cruise liner strikes the iceberg.

Whisper isn’t too sure what he’s supposed to be doing, but Directator wants it to look realistic—the real Titanic didn’t crash into an iceberg, it just bumped into one. Whisper is concerned with what will happen if he really crashes into the iceberg, and Directator says everything will just explode in that case. They start the iceberg scene, but there’s a twist as usual: the cruise ship is going extremely fast!

Whisper attempts to pilot the ship to some success, but there’s another weird twist—there are tons of icebergs to avoid! Somehow, Whisper manages to avoid all the icebergs, but that’s not what Directator wanted, so the filming must continue. Now the Titanic is under attack by pirates, and the pirate captain is Baddinyan… who looks suspiciously like the lead character from a certain pirate movie series.

The pirates ram their ship and get on board, so Nate and his comrades take up arms—or rather, they would, if their weapons provided by Directator were useful at all. Nate gets a tiny sword and Whisper gets a gun that’s actually a water pistol, and the ship’s cannons are actually giant party poppers. Naturally, Nate and co. are immediately surrounded and captured by the pirates, who fire them off the ship in a giant cannon.

Fortunately, Nate and Whisper land safely in the water… only to notice a giant shark fin approaching them! Lucky for them, it’s just Steve Jaws. Even better, it seems like Directator is finally done, and lets them go. Later, Nate is watching the Yo-kai Academy Awards, where Directator’s bizarre Titanic adaptation wins the show—and Directator’s already got plans for future movies.

Part 3: Yo-kai Cricky

Nate’s at school chatting with Bear and Eddie, who are both having issues with cricks in their necks. But it’s not just them, everyone in the school is seeing sideways because they slept wrong! Nate thinks it’s definitely weird that everyone in the entire school slept wrong last night, and when he uses the Yo-kai Watch it reveals the froglike Yo-kai Cricky is the culprit!

Cricky causes people to wake up with a crick in their neck, like they slept the wrong way. Nate springs in to action to deal with him and summons Jibanyan, but Cricky surrenders instantaneously. They go to the playground to talk it over, where Cricky reveals that he knows it’s wrong to use his powers on everyone, but that he has a reason for doing it.

Cricky tells Nate about his past, when he used to be a normal frog. He was lost and a nice old lady who ran a massage clinic took him in and gave him a home. The clinic was doing well up until one day a large franchise health spa opened up, stealing all of the old woman’s business.

In order to help out the old woman, Cricky set out to find customers for her again… but he met with disaster and was killed, only to be reincarnated as a Yo-kai. Realizing this, he began using his powers to give people cricks in their necks in order to drive business back to the old woman’s massage clinic. Cricky knows what he was doing was wrong, but he simply wanted to repay the old woman’s kindness for taking care of him.

Nate is deeply moved by Cricky’s story, and decides to visit the old woman’s massage clinic to see how things are going. To their surprise, the shop has been renovated, and business is booming! The old woman has plenty of customers who prefer her old-fashioned hand massages to the massage machines at the franchise health spa.

The old woman reveals that she believed the frog was always cheering her on, and that she believes that he’s also responsible for all the customers she’s receiving now. Cricky is overwhelmed with joy and decides to stay with the old woman in her clinic from now on—and Nate gets Cricky’s Yo-kai Medal too, bringing the episode to a happy conclusion.
