While Yo-kai Watch does not show artificial intelligence explicitly, some Yo-kai exhibit certain characteristics that can be considered AI-related. Such as the Robot Yo-kais such as Robonyn and Goldenyan.

Appearance
Robonyan is a Cat robot Yo-kai. He has yellow eyes with a silver ring around them, has a red circle where Jibanyan has his blue bell, had a maroon jetpack worn on his back, where Jibanyan has the blue flame at the end of his tails is now a red flame. Robonyan is dark blue and grey instead of red and white, he has parts that attach to others to make his arms and legs and connect to his hands and feet.
Personality
Robonyan does not really have a personality - being a robot he can't display emotions. But he's still shown to have feline instincts, as he reacted like a cat would to B3-NK1's petting. Otherwise he has a tough, determined attitude.
Relationships
Anime
In the anime, Robonyan is the future version of Jibanyan. He traveled to the time where Jibanyan was a Yo-kai living with Nate to tell him about what happens to him when he's in the future. Jibanyan disagreed with being a robot and didn't really believe he choose to be a robot. Robonyan proves he is him by showing how he has a built inside factory that makes chocolate bars and says that he is the only one who would have that. He later tries to convince Jibanyan that it was a good choice that he made himself a robot by comparing their abilities. Jibanyan loses everytime and soon starts telling himself that Robonyan is really great. Robonyan stayed the night with them and used the outlet to charge himself. The next morning, however, Nate's mom asking him what was he using last night and shows Nate that the electricity bills rose up by a shocking amount. Nate, Whisper and Jibanyan turn to see Robonyan sinking into what looks like a portal waving to them and throws his medal to Nate before finally disappearing to his time much as their dismay.
Trivia
While in the first Yo-kai Watch game he speaks with a high-pitched voice, as well as in his Yo-kai medal toy; in Yo-kai Watch 2 his voice was changed to a deep one in order to match his voice in the anime; this also gets carried into his Z-medal toy.
Robonyan is a parody of T-800, the titular evil/heroic android in the Terminator film franchise. As shown, both are robots from the future and are known for their signature catchphrase "I'll be back!" (which he'll use whenever he leaves through his portal). Also in the Japanese premier of the upcoming film Terminator: Genisys, Arnold Schwarzenegger is due to meet Robonyan. One of Robonyan's random nicknames is Arnold which refers to Arnold Schwarzenegger, who plays the signature T-800 model of Terminator.
Robonyan is the only robotic doppelganger that belongs to a different tribe from his organic counterpart.
When you're in a battle against him at the Construction Site, there will be two Signibbles next to him.
Robonyan's Rocket Punch is a reference to one of Mazinger Z's signature attacks.

Yo-kai Watch 1 Game Information
In the first game, a Goldenyan lies in a state of low power within the Trophy Room located in the center of Gourd Pond Park, which is firstly accessed to the player by obtaining their first Yo-criminal Trophy. By collecting Trophies of captured Wanted Yo-kai, it helps revitalizes Goldenyan until he can stand. Collecting more Trophies help further optimize Goldenyan. Doing so will reward the player with 10 Crank-a-kai Coins of the following colors:
- Enough so Goldenyan is standing: Red Coins
- Half of Yo-criminal Trophies collected: Yellow Coins
- Goldenyan highly optimized: Orange Coins
- Nearly finished: Pink Coins
- All Trophies obtained: Green Coins

Appearance
A gold-plated robotic Cat Yo-kai. It has big sky blue eyes, an orange nose, and dull blue inner-ear. It has a wide opened mouth and pale yellow muzzle and chest. A big blue sphere rests in the center of the chest. Where his arms begin is a single piece of brown material, matching the pale brown band around the stomach. A jetpack is visible on the back, while the tail flames are blue. It´s appearance is almost identical to Robonyan´s. It speaks with a high pitched voice, almost sounding like a female's.
Personality
In Whisper's dream the anime, Goldenyan is a bit vain; it states it can only shine in certain places since it is Gold-plated. It also leaves when Katie summons it with her Yo-kai Watch, Similar to Robonyan, it says "I'll be back" when it leaves.
Relationships
Anime
In a dream in EP067, Katie summons Goldenyan -which refers to as "her best Yo-kai friend" with her own Yo-kai Watch in order to deal with Noway. However Goldenyan itself states it only shines in certain places and, despite Katie's pleads, leaves through a portal.
Trivia
Despite only appearing in a dream, Goldenyan has its Yo-kai Medal registered in the Recap Time of said episode, along with Shadow Venoct.
