Yo-kai Top 10
This is a yo-kai top 10 awards show hosted by Manjimutt and Tattletell. They’re going to be going over the yo-kai people want the most from least but still top 10 to the absolute most. Whisper is watching from a dressing room, talking to himself about being number one.
The tenth most wanted yo-kai is Dismarelda. When asked what she has to say to her fans, she tells a quick punny joke that Whisper thinks is out of place. Dismarelda is followed by her husband, Happierre. When it’s his turn to be grateful, he grows to giant size and says he’s doing a cumulonimbus cloud impression. The hosts think the couple are both hilarious.
Number eight is Hidabat. Hidabat is a shut-in who can’t come be on the show, so they talk to him via satellite. The bat says to his fans that he has a pig’s snout, and that lands big on the set of the show, but shakes Whisper’s vision of what the show is supposed to be and makes him worry about writing his own one-liner. He comes up with one about how his head is ice cream, but a janitor comes in as he’s doing that. And embarrassment overwhelms him. Roughraff is next, and he turns his pompadour into ice cream in the exact way Whisper thought of.
Then the Nosirs. The one with the nose hair sticking out just says his nose hair isn’t sticking out. Then quickly to number five: Fidgephant. He sprays Manjimutt with his nose and the dog man run off behind the set to relieve himself. When he does, the cops grab him and carry him off set. So Happierre takes over hosting. Whisper misses the action because he’s pretending to be a horseshoe crab.
Number four is Shogunyan. The samurai cat’s gag is about being a horseshoe crab based on a helmet pun. Whisper is dismayed his joke was taken again, but he’s also excited about his cue coming up. Then they announce Komasan. The little lion dog almost gets stuck in the revolving door the guests have been coming out of, but he catches himself in time to deliver a joke about how he can’t remember his joke because he’s “dis-koma- bobulated.”
Whisper knew Komasan would be third. After that, he predicts Jibanyan and then himself. But he recognized the possibility Jibanyan could be first too, taking what he believes is his place. Second place is Jibanyan though, so Whisper thinks he won. Jibanyan comes out and brings kisses of fury for all his fans. Whisper floats over to the set and waits in the wings to be called out. Finally, the board shows that the number one most-wanted yo-kai is Dianyan, the diamond cat. He drops a quick pun, and Whisper sits in the shadows, lamenting his failure. After all, Dianyan hasn’t shown up in the anime before
Yo-kai Count Zapaway
There’s a big soccer game that Nate wants to watch on tv, but he can’t find the remote. Based on his experience having difficulty finding the remote, he decides a yo-kai loses the remote. He’s right. In the room with them is a little vampire remote control named [[Count Zapaway]]. Nate decides Jibanyan should beat him up, so he summons him with the yo-kai watch model zero from right upstairs. Jibanyan was in the middle of snack time, but his friend asked him nicely to rough up this flying remote, so he says he will. But then Nate stops him because he thinks they may never find the remote if Count Zapaway is hurt.
As they’re talking about this, Jibanyan finds the remote under a newspaper. Zapaway smugly explains that hiding spot was a level one hiding spot, the easiest of five levels. Jibanyan has no patience for this remote jerk, so he chucks the remote control right at him, and challenges the vampire to hide it anywhere. The residents of the house turn around and wait hide-and- seek style while the Count shoves the remote into the couch. Count Zapaway tries to play it off, but Jibanyan is so fired up, he can instantly bring a kettle to a boil on this belly. Zapaway decides to skip to level four.
Level four is that Nate’s dad thinks the remote is his electric razor. At level five, Jibanyan starts tearing the house apart looking for the remote. Nate’s mom reveals to the camera that it’s at the back of the fridge while she’s putting away groceries. But nobody can actually find the remote. If they all give up, Count Zapaway says he’ll return it, but Jibanyan’s pride won’t let him surrender. The game is about to start, so Nate’s a little desperate until his dad saves the day using the buttons on the tv. Nate did not know that tvs had buttons. But Count Zapaway is still defeated. He brings the remote back and give his medal to Nate too, but he’s too busy watching the game. Count Zapaway walks away feeling useless.
Gourmet School Lunch: Meal 3 Cruller!
The lunch treat today is fried bread, and Nate is again possessed by an unknown gourmet yo-kai. Gourmet Nate is reflecting on the pure sweetness of the bread, which Bear and Eddie echo, but Katie and another girl talk about its caloric content. Nate is adamant that thinking about the nutritional value of a classic treat like this will ruin it.
He takes his first bite and washes it down with milk. He keeps tearing off pieces of bread and makes sure to pair with milk. He gets down to the last bite and decides to savor it by first licking the soy flour off his fingers. When Nate finally goes to grab the last bite, Bear just snatches it away and downs it. Nate just has to stand there like a bleached statue.
