Yo-kai Watch 2
How to Survive Terror Time
A lot of people seemed to have a problem with Terror Time with what it being unexpected and all, and also the fact that the door doesn't appear till later. There's a catch actually, and it's what made Terror Time so much better in Yo-kai Watch 2 (to me). Whether human or Yo-kai, you can FIGHT BACK. This guide however, will focus upon mainly surviving as a human.
Just so you know, the weather app contains useful information on whether there is going to be wild Yo-kai, more bugs or fish to catch, the weather report, Next HarMEOWny, it also can alert you whether Terror Time is coming or not. That can allow you to find an area where you can easily get around and escape, or be the hunter yourself if you dare, and get lots of Oni orbs in time.
Now here's the nitty gritty, how to fight back if you're a human Items, Items, ITEMS
These are very useful and should be of importance, collecting and using these can give you a chance to escape or strike.
Staminum: Like in the normal world, Infinite Stamina. Good for back up plans when running!
Rice Ball (Blasters-only): Heals you up to full health
Purple Wisp with ring: Invisibility. Caught? This should help calm the situation! Using it immediately will divert the attention of sentry and Oni! Just remember to run to a safe place!
Yellow Mine: Shock/stun mine. As the name suggests, it stuns oni temporarily (but only oni!) Also, if there are any Yo-kai in Yo-kai spots around, they can create a shock-mine area too! Perfect for stopping oni from catching you!
Robanyan's Rocket Fist: Rocket Punch!!! Launch this at a Sentry or Oni to deal damage for them! It should be enough to take down a Sentry. For Oni like Gargaros though? Two Rocket Punches! You can sneak up behind them and fire one once locked on! I'm pretty sure I've seen someplace that you are able to take them down! (Nerfed to 1/6 health deduction when playing as Yo-Kai)
Fire Mine: Explosive time bomb. Now this is some serious firepower! It takes some time like the shock mine to set. After a few seconds, it goes KABOOM! It will take out any sentries in its radius, and the same goes for Gargaros! Most oni orbs that you can get (if you've played blasters) can be found by defeating these oni. Sweet cold revenge for striking fear into you.
But be careful, once you have defeated a Gargaros and escaped in normal terror time... If you do that quite often, say hi to his brother Ogralus. From what I've read before, it would take more punches and mines to take down the blue oni... And even more for Orcanos too!
So in case you run into Terror Time again as a human, you can plan out your escape or attack, instead of quickly running around or getting frustrated to find the exit. A good trick is to get a shock mine from an item (or Yo-kai Hot Spot) prepared, as well as a fire mine in your possession! Lure an oni to that stun area, and when he's stunned, set the Fire mine and stand back! Also, try and do some stealth attacks with Rocket Punches if you can! Sentries or Onis, I'm not sure if Onis will be alerted if you rocket punch them and they didn't die. Just be sure to run!
