Part 1: Komasan in the City: Ear Warmers
Komasan is writing to his mama once again about his city adventures. This time, his letter is about his confusion regarding why cityfolk spend so much time walking around talking to themselves and their “ear warmers.”
Komajiro wonders why they talk so much while walking too. Komasan tries to look street-smart and says it’s because the cityfolk have all gone crazy, but Komajiro already knows that their “ear warmers” are actually cellphones… and he already has one, too! Komajiro already knows a LOT about cellphones, and Komasan has no idea what to do when his little brother asks him where to get better reception for his cellphone.
Still trying to look cool in front of his little brother, Komasan makes up a bunch of lies about “delicious signals.” Komajiro eventually gets a phone call from his friends, and runs off leaving Komasan all alone. Poor Komasan, looks like he’s eating alone tonight.
Part 2: Yo-kai Cheeksqueek
Nate’s in the middle of English class when he hears an unmistakable sound—yup, somebody farted. He first suspects Bear, but that turns out to be wrong. He doesn’t think it was Eddie, and when he suspects Whisper, Whisper tells him that he always passes gas discreetly. So who could it be? Nate finally notices that Katie is looking a little embarrassed. At first, Nate doubts that it was really Katie, but when he gets a second whiff of Katie’s “air biscuits”, Nate realizes something is up. Suspecting a Yo-kai, Nate uses the Yo-kai Watch to reveal the Yo-kai Cheeksqueek!
Cheeksqueek’s favorite trick is making his victims fart at the worst possible times. He’s eager to use it on Nate too, and once class is over he sprays Nate with a gas that makes him fart! And this time, everybody knows Nate was responsible. But before Nate can escape, Cheeksqueek sprays him again! Nate tries to play it cool and look like it wasn’t him, but nobody is buying it. Nate chases Cheeksqueek to the roof, tooting all the way.Nate wastes no time in summoning Jibanyan to dispense with Cheeksqueek. Before Jibanyan can even do anything, he is sprayed by Cheeksqueek resulting in an enormous noxious fart cloud that incapacitates both him and Nate. Fortunately, Whisper has gas masks for the occasion, and also giant fans for getting rid of the gas so that everyone can breathe fresh air again.
Nate doesn’t want a repeat of what happened with Jibanyan, so he needs a Yo-kai that lacks deadly fart potential. He ponders Manjimutt before deciding that’s a bad idea, proceeding to summon Robonyan. Being a futuristic robot, Robonyan isn’t programmed to fart… but he’s been upgraded to have a farting feature! After some calculations and adjustments, Robonyan manages not only to silence his farts, but make them smell like roses. Then he hits Cheeksqueek with the “Super Deluxe Rose Petal Fragrance Rocket Punch.”
However, that isn’t enough to stop Cheeksqueek, so Robonyan’s next course of action is to bake some sweet potatoes and use the “Starchy Sweet Potato Punch” to shoot them into Cheeksqueek’s mouth. The starchy sweet potatoes make Cheeksqueek suffer the flatulent fate he forces on others, which teaches him his lesson.
Having mended his ways, Cheeksqueek gives Nate his Yo-kai Medal and flies off into the sky, bringing this gassy episode to a close.
Part 3: Manjimutt: The Great Dog Escape: Part 1
A followup to the “trailer” shown in the previous episode, this is the actual story of Manjimutt’s Alcatraz prison escape. Manjimutt originally ended up in jail for “unimportant reasons”, and due to Nate constantly summoning him out of jail, the police thought he was escaping jail repeatedly and blamed him for his “jailbreaks.” So Manjimutt wound up in Alcatraz, out in the middle of the ocean.
Manjimutt hungers for vengeance against Nate for bringing this fate upon him, so there’s only one thing to do—break out of jail! In the dead of night, Manjimutt squeezes himself into the prison’s underground tunnel system. Digging his way underneath the prison, Manjimutt eventually comes across a bone. He can’t fight his canine instincts, digging for the bone. He changes course, deciding to postpone his escape in favor of bones. This results in him changing direction numerous times until he ends up underneath a massive bone, which he pulls on, resulting in a cave-in.
After recovering, Manjimutt sees a light from above him. He pops his head up, and realizes he’s back in his cell. It’s back to square one for Manjimutt!
