How to Recruit/Befriend

Once a day battle at Byrd's House in Blossom Heights - Must complete 3 quests first.

First complete quest "Get the ball back!" by talking to the boy outside Mr. Byrd's house. Then go through the Secret Byway near Shoten Temple to enter Byrd's yard the back way. Go inside and speak to Mr. Byrd.
Complete quest "Bird Collection 1" from Mr. Byrd. (Befriend Snotsolong, Flumpy, and Peckpocket)
Complete quest "Bird Collection 2" from Mr. Byrd. (Befriend Duchoo and Rockabelly)
After beating the game you'll have access to Byrd's back room where Skreek is.

A depressed black bird with a purple face to match its bottom. Its mid-section are pink, while its beak and feet are dark grey. It hangs its head low, with the face on its torso making the same depressed expression. It has tiny cyan pupils.

Origin

Skreek might be based on the Itsumaden, a ghastly bird that embodied the lamentations and cries for help of people who died from pestilence or war centuries ago. It would fly over the desolate places that gave it birth, letting out a horrible, mournful cry.

Name Origin

"Skreek" refers to a onomatopoeic of a bird's screeching.

"Shinigamidori" translates as "Grim Reaper bird".
