===Name Origin===
* "Kabukizaru" is merely "Kabuki Monkey". With the battle staff in hand, Kabukizaru, as well as Sushiyama, may have some basis with Sun Wukong, the Monkey King and one of the protagonists of the classic epic Journey to the West.

* "Kapunki" is a portmanteau of the words kabuki, a classical Japanese theatre dance in which its actors are portrayed in heavily applied makeup or face paint, and punk.

"Kapunki" is also phonetically semi-similar to "Monkey", once one removes the first two letters.
