Food

Food restores HP and Soul Meter for friendly Yo-kai. It also generates affection that gives the player an easier time to befriend an enemy Yo-kai. Giving a Yo-kai its Favorite Food will have a greater Affection Boost. Food can be purchased from various shops.

Items

Items perform various functions in Yo-kai Watch. Coins are used in Crank-a-kai, books can change a Yo-kai's Attitude, talismans temporaily increases Yo-kai's stats, other items can give Yo-kai EXP or revive them in battle.

Fusion Items

Fusion Items are items used in Fusion to create new Yo-kai and equipment. Players can perform Fusion by speaking to Mr. Zen at the Shoten Temple in Blossom Heights. Fusion is unlocked in Chapter 5 of story.

Equipment

Equipment can be equipped on Yo-kai to change their stats and give them other effects.

Animals

Animals consist of Bugs and Fish. Players can find them throughout the Yo-kai world. Players can exchange animals for various items at the Jungle Hunter. They can also exchange rare animals for coins at Ol' Fortune Shop.
