[[Master Oden]] appears with the traveling [[Oden Cart]]. The cart spawns on clear evenings. You can use [[Ray O'Light]] at the [[Baffle Board]] at the [[Mt. Wildwood]] Summit to clear the skies or just keep sleeping till night and checking the weather app for the sun icon under today in Springdale.
So, you've got a clear night. Time to search.
The Oden cart can spawn in numerous locations on ANY of the [[Springdale]] maps ([[Uptown Springdale]], [[Downtown Springdale]], [[Breezy Hills]], [[Blossom Heights]], etc. NOT [[Harrisville]] or [[San Fantastico]].) Most of the time, there will be a normal human shopkeeper, who shows up as the green shopkeeper dot on your mini map. Rarely, it will be Master Oden, who will show up as a blue quest flag on your map.
If you're looking just for the shop keeper, zoom your map out (the slider on the right hand side of your mini map) to half way. This will be as far out as you can go and still see the green shopkeeper dot. If you want Master Oden, you can zoom out the whole way and still see the blue flag. This lets you look at the whole map much faster as you search. If you don't see the blue flag, go home, sleep till night, try again. It can take awhile. Don't give up!
When you find Master Oden, he'll give you a quest. The first quest asks for 3 [[Steppa Soul]]s. You'll need to befriend 3 [[Steppa]] (San Fantastico ocean cave) then go to the Harrisville [[Temple of Virtue]] to use [[Soulcery]] and make the [[Medals]] into [[Souls]].
The second quest asks for 3 [[Mochismo Souls]] (2nd floor [[Springdale Elementary]] school at night. Easiest way is go into classrooms until one locks and the Yo-kai who did it is a [[Mochismo]]. Then just keep fighting the one not in the middle to keep Mochismo spawning till you've got 3).
The last quest he wants 3 [[Robinyu Soul]]s. [[Robinyu]] [[evolve]]s from [[Pekpocket]] at level 23. You can get Pekpocket from the [[Shady Alley]] behind the [[Fish Store]] in Uptown Springdale.
Once you complete the 3rd quest, Master Oden gives you his medal and you can now buy the best oden from the cart.
But there's more you can do!
If you go to the [[Everymart]] in [[Shopper's Row]], to the east of it is a lot with a garage and a dog with his dog house. If you go at night, you can use the cinder block to step up on the wall without the dog barking and knocking you off. There's a baffle board in the yard. Answer with Master Oden and summon him there. Talk to him and he says the Everymart looks like it could use help. He decides to let them sell his Oden (except the top tier kind). So now you can buy Oden from this Everymart instead of tracking down the cart (unless you want Top Class Oden. You still gotta find the cart for that.)
Places I found the cart/Master Oden: in the lot directly south of the train station in blossom heights, in the bottom right of the blossom heights map next to the large building to the east of the bike shop,left hand side of the downtown Springdale map along the road by parked cars, behind the hospital in downtown Springdale (the modern one, not the abandoned one). Many people have also reported him by gourd pond in breezy hills south of the museum.
