I know this has happened before in anime where one character seems to look very similar to another in a completely other show but come on! This looks like a female Muk! But I found this video that kind of sums up why they are similar based on stories. not just looks.
LOL!!! I never made these connections! I am going to have to pay better attention! I was a long time Pokemon fan who has just gotten burned out on it but this is hilarious! I think a lot of it has to do with the style of anime. I mean people have said Digimon looked like Pokemon too.
